Delete your Kintrel account

Account and privacy choices

Permanently delete
your account.

Deletion is permanent. It is different from signing out, removing one device, or clearing local application data.

Delete in Kintrel

Config → General → Delete account

Sign in, open Config, choose General, then choose Delete account. Kintrel shows the consequences and asks for explicit confirmation before submitting the authenticated deletion request.

01 / Removed

Account-owned server data is deleted.

Deletion removes your identity and profile, registered devices, public key material, device-link state, group and contact-request state, owned encrypted blobs, queued messages and receipts, active sessions, and the associated Keycloak identity.

02 / Limited retention

Deletion cannot recall data already delivered.

Copies already delivered to another participant remain on that participant's devices. Kintrel keeps a one-way stale-token digest so access tokens issued before deletion cannot recreate the account. The digest cannot recover the deleted account identifier or profile.

Backups and narrowly scoped security logs follow the retention policy described in the privacy notice and age out under their normal controls.

03 / Local copies

Review every linked device.

After server deletion succeeds, Kintrel signs the deleting device out and removes its local account data. A device that is offline during deletion may still hold a local copy until it reconnects or its Kintrel data is cleared. Anyone controlling a recipient device may retain messages already delivered to it.

04 / Support

Cannot reach the deletion control?

Visit Kintrel support or email contact@confederatedtechnologies.com. Support will verify account control before acting and will never ask for your password, private keys, or message content.
